Christmas Time 2010

Yeah yeah I know it's March and I'm way behind AGAIN! Better late then never though right and one of my new years resolutions as always this year is to do better at blogging.

We started off the Christmas season with a Christmas fondu/ugly sweater party with some of our friends. The food was fabulous and we had so much fun. We also had an awesome white elephant gift exchange and scored some pretty sweet stuff!

Cohen in his not so ugly sweater. Cohen's cousin Dolton brought it back from Peru for him and I thought it looked holiday-ish.

Me and all the girls. (Leah, Emily, Tiffany, Lindsay, & Laura)

Every year TJ's family go a cabin they own about 90 miles southwest of St. Louis. Because Mirae didn't want to haul all of our presents out we decided to do our Christmas with her the night of the 23rd, since TJ was closing on Christmas Eve.

Cohen has no idea what's about to happen

First train set. We wanted to start collecting thomas the train sets for Cohen since all of his cousins on my side have them. Nana went slightly overboard though and bought lots and lots of trains. She even bought two of everything so she could have some at her house.

Would have been okay with just bubble wrap

Me opening our new food saver

TJ's big surprise. I told him his mom was getting us a food saver and that was it. He thought this gift was going to be canisters for the food saver.

Nope it's a new XBOX with Kinect...SURPISE!

Our plan was to stay at our house Christmas Eve then drive out to the cabin the next morning. TJ had to work from 2-10 pm Christmas Eve so Mirae invited us to just stay and hang out and spend the night again. She had already made dinner plans and I knew Cohen would not do well with being up late so after they left for dinner Cohen and I unwrapped our Christmas jammies together, played, read the Christmas story and all of our Christmas books then Cohen went off to bed. I stayed up and watched the Holiday (no It's a Wonderful life, but definitely one of my favorite Christmas movies) till TJ got home.

These are a few pictures I took of Cohen on Christmas Eve by Nana's tree

Dreaming of Christmas Day

Christmas morning we opened stockings and Cohen opened his gifts from Santa and his Papa and Mema Anderson. He go a basketball hoop, a thomas the train set, clothes, a silly monkey and lots and lots of dum-dums.

Sharing dumdums with Zoos and Brootus...look at them watching that sucker like vultures.

Uncle Spencer and Aunt Nikki had our names this year and they got Cohen this cute baseball hat. He loves the Braves so he was very excited.

I didn't take any pictures at the Cabin. We had a great time though and everyone spoiled us! We truly felt blessed to be surrounded by so many people that love us. We missed my family too but look forward to spending next Christmas with them.
