A Great Day to Fly a Red Airplane

Every time we visit St. Louis, one thing is on Cohen's mind: Papa's red airplane! He prays for the red airplane all of the time and every time we hear one in the sky, whatever we are doing stops, and we watch the airplane. This kid is obsessed! It was a nice day so we decided to head our to the airport and let Cohen go for a ride with Papa. TJ's aunt Gina suggested I record a video, and so that is mostly what I did. Cohen loves watching the video of "his red airplane." Once I get all caught up with the blog I'm going to post all the videos to Youtube then link them to the posts.

Ledger was my buddy and hung with me on the ground. I asked Cohen if it was Ledgers turn to fly and he responded with a very strong, "NO!" I don't know what this boy is going to do when he actually has to share rides with his brother.

He really believes he knows how to fly a plane! Pilot in the making. Thanks a lot Papa!

Cohen's feet are dangling out of the plane in this one. He decided to get out himself. It was kind of a far drop but he was just fine.

Science City!!!

In March TJ's mom came out to visit us. It was St. Patricks day weekend and we decided to head downtown for the parade. When we saw how busy it was and how far away we would have to park, we changed our minds and decided to go check out Union Station. They have an amazing free Trains exhibit that Cohen loves. Next to the exhibit they have a kids museum called Science City. We decided to check it out and are so glad we did because Cohen loves it. Mirae even upgraded our tickets to a season pass, and we later upgraded it even more so we could have an 8 person pass instead of 4. This has allowed us to take lots of friend, family and neighbors with us to one of our favorite places in KC.

In April, Afton, Brooks, and Zoey drove up to spend a week with us. We loved having them and had to take them to Science city. Afton and I also got to go the the KC temple open house together which was really fun, and nice to have some adult conversation.  Thanks guys for coming to visit us. We loved having you!!!

There will be a lot more pictures of Science city in future posts. Did I mention we really like it and go a lot??? If you want to experience all of its awesomeness you are just going to have to come see us so we can take you there in person.

Easter 2012

Cohen is so rough with his baby brother and always has been. Ledger is extremely tolerant of Cohen though and rarely ever cries even when he is getting tackled.

These boys sure do love each other though. Cohen is always asking if Dedgers can lay in his bed.

For Easter. Spencer and Nikki came down. My parents were also in town for some dental work and came down also. Merilee even made the trip so it was an Anderson party!!! We started the party off by heading to an Easter parade at Zona Rosa, an outdoor shopping center just up the road from where we live. It was sweet and short. They even turned around and we watched it go by a second time. It had all the essentials of a successful Easter parade though. Candy. Check. Easter Bunny. Check.

They also had a small petting zoo. We didn't stick around to wait in lines though.

They also had some freebies we grabbed on our way out. These killer egg sunglasses and bunny hats.

EASTER MORNING

The egg hunt began...

Then the boys came down to the basement to discover their new rides (bikes)!

CANDYYYYY!

Papa and baby "General Ledger" as my dad likes to call him.

Baby Crew pretty much did this the whole time.

Baby Ledger checking out an empty egg. There is no way Cohen would let him hold it if it had anything in it.

 The boys and their loot!

I love every picture of these two that I have together. They are such partners in crime. Anytime it is quiet and Beckham and Cohen are missing, we know there is trouble.

After the egg hunt they had to test out their new bikes. We got Cohen and Strider bike. Beckham got one as well. These are the most awesome bikes. I will post a link to a video of him riding it later. He is amazing on it and can keep up with the big kids on their peddle bikes pretty well.

Beckham mostly walked his bike apparently because I have zero pics of him riding it, but like 10 of him walking with it.

Cohen and Beckham are 5 months apart. Ledger and Crew are almost the exact same distance apart. So fun to have cousins so close in age.
