For Cohen's 3rd Birthday he woke up to his room full of balloons. ( A tradition we have adopted from Aunt Nikki). Then we headed downstairs to see his big present from us. A train table. (It was actually Brooks' train table and they didn't want to take it or store it, so when we were there the end of July we packed it up and took it home). Cohen loved it!!! He did say something about it being Brooksie's train table and I said, "yeah, it's just like Brooksies!" Then we headed upstairs for one of Cohen's new favorite things. Blueberry muffins.

My friend Kate watched Ledger while Cohen and I took a one-on-one trip to Science City. It was so nice to have some alone time with him, and really be able to give him my full attention.
When TJ got home from school we headed to "chick-a-lay" for some dinner. As usual Cohen ate the fruit cup from the kids meal and Ledger ate the chicken nuggets. Then Cohen got to have an ice-cream cone. He was in heaven, and barely shared any. This 3 year old can down one large ice-cream cone, all by himself.

We headed home to open the rest of his presents. Nana got Cohen a bunch of disney movies and this McQueen "pack pack," he loves taking it to school. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson bought him the McQueen suitcase he used when we went to Atlantis. He loves it and had to carry it himself all through the airport. We got so many compliments on it and grandparents asking where we got it. He also got lots of new clothes and some money from Grandma and Grandpa A. We got him a couple of books, the movie Wall-E, and the outdoor carwash/kid wash TJ built him for his birthday party.
We had Cohen's birthday party the Saturday following his birthday. This is the kidwash. I found it on pintrest months before Cohen's birthday and decided we would have a Car's themed birthday party with a car wash for the kids to run through.
TJ built the whole thing, and had a lot of fun doing it. He also added sprinkler heads to the original plans along with some other adjustment to make it better.

It only rained two hours that day, and those two hours just happened to be during the party. So we had to move all the food inside. Wet kids inside my house, yikes! I confined them to the kitchen though, so it wasn't too bad and TJ even helped me scrub the floor after everyone left! I made the banner, and the signs for the drinks. I also covered the C with scrapbook paper to match.
The tire is just our spare from the Honda with a clear plate sitting in it for the cupcakes! My mom made the McQueen and we had every character for invitations that Cohen loved going to his friends house to pass out. We used the extras for decoration around the kitchen.

I have to thank my neighbor Nichole. I could not have pulled off this party without her. She hung the banner, frosted cupcakes, corralled the crowds, and just plain kept me sane. It was such a fun party though and we are excited to use the carwash again and again. I can't believe my baby is 3! I hate to see him get older, but he also gets more and more fun. Once he stops getting more fun, I'm not going to let him keep getting older! WE LOVE YOU COEY!
