In May, when TJ finished school, we had the summer off so we decided to drive to Idaho and get some much needed fresh mountain air. I always joke with TJ that Midwest air just isn't as nice and fresh as Idaho air. Anyways, before starting our trip to Idaho we headed up to Omaha to attend Spencer's graduation from Dental School. This was a bitter sweet for us. We are so proud of Spence and his accomplishments but we were so sad to see them pack up their Omaha home and move all the way to California. We loved having them just up the road (2hours) from us for the year that we did.
Funny side note story: While Spencer and Nikki were visiting us we went to the Easter parade at Zona Rosa, an outdoor shopping mall. We went into Old Navy and by the dressing rooms they had a jar full of Jelly Beans. You had to guess how many were in there and the person with the closest guess won the Jar. Spencer called us a week or so later letting us know that he had won, and asked if we could go pick it up for him. We did and as soon as I got in the car with the giant jar Cohen's eyes lit up. He kept asking me for some. Then in frustration he said, "I need beans in my hands, mom!" We still quote him on this one anytime we see, hear, or eat jelly beans.

While everyone else was packing and cleaning we headed out to Petco, and Target to get Cohen's present for giving his binki to the binki fairy.

My mom really wanted a scrapbook room remodel and we really wanted to go to Idaho so my parents paid for all of our gas to get out there. TJ also got a new circular saw out of the deal. We (mostly TJ) put in some hours redoing the room and had so much fun hanging out and enjoying some much needed time in the West.
I didn't take any before pictures but, TJ built, installed, stained, sanded, and finished the desk. He also installed all of the white shelving on the walls and the TV mounted on the other wall.
We didn't see a lot of my mom after it was finished. She was in heaven and still tells TJ all of the time how much she loves her scrapbook room.
Had to visit the mall, and grandpa and grandma supplied lots of quarters for lots of rides.
We went to Fred Meyer to get a TV mount and some other supplies for the scrapbook room and Cohen found this Lightning McQueen pillow pet. Grandma told him he could have it as his treat and he was so excited that he needed to try it out right away.

My mom works for Christopher and Banks and they have a fashion show every quarter or so. She asked Merilee and I to model for her. We agreed and she bought my dress for me. Merilee picked out a different dress then the one she is wearing. Can you believe that is my baby sister? Wish she could give me a couple inches!

We had to make a trip down to the Anderson Dairy farm. Cohen even got to drive the tractor with Uncle Winfield.
You can't see it very well, but there was an eclipse that day.
Isn't this farm beautiful. Maybe it's just me and all the fun childhood memories I have of playing there with my cousins.
We also made it over to the Zoo. The animals that we did get to see were very cool, but a lot of them were still in their winter homes.
The Bears
As always we had so much fun in Idaho and weren't ready to leave when it was time to head home. I put on my sunglasses and cried pretty much to the Wyoming border.
On the way home we had the chance to stay with our friends Randy and Ashely in Denver. We met them at Famous Dave's for dinner, then headed back to their beautiful home. We were so glad we got to spend some time with them and meet their cute baby girl Cambria.
