Cohen's 1st Easter

For Cohen's 1st Easter we went to church then had dinner at the Fuller's. After dinner we hid some eggs for Cohen and everyone else was nice enough to hide some of our eggs for TJ and I. My family does an Easter egg hunt for all of the big kids every year (meaning my siblings and I), and it can get very competitive. This year was no exception but I'm pretty sure I won, even though TJ would come up with some excuse or another as to why he won.

It was a little windy...hence the squinty nose

so excited...

TJ's family has a different Easter tradition called an egg roll. You take your decorated hard boiled eggs and the idea is that you roll then run, roll then run, until you get all the way around the house. My first easter with the family I lost horribly because I didn't realize they were all a bunch of cheaters. Once you get around the side of the house everyone picks up their eggs and runs with it till they get around to the other side then they start rolling it again. This year I knew what I was doing though and did better except for the run where I threw my egg to hard and smashed it.
Everyone running...no eggs on the ground...hmmm

again no eggs on the ground

Random Fun

Cohen and Devin having a nice laugh on the floor.

I haven't missed one of Kelan's birthday's yet so Cohen and I packed up and made the 6 hour drive to Omaha for the big day. We had so much fun helping plan, decorate and attending Kelan's Car's themed birthday party. Happy Birthday Kelly Belly. We love you!

Cohen just loved playing with the balloons they entertained him all day.

Cohen loves to help with the laundry. Often I find him in our closet emptying our laundry basket and sorting them into piles. Daddy has a more fun version of helping with the laundry though.

After a few scares of nearly falling out of the bumbo we decided to move Cohen to a high chair. Luckily Pops and Gem had a perfectly good one downstairs that TJ used to use when he was a baby.
At the beginning of Spring I was dying to spend some time outside. We went on a walk almost everyday and one day that TJ was home we even had a picnic down at the pond in our subdivision. We took Cohen's play picnic basket and some puffs of course and he ate right along with us.

I was doing Cohen's hair in the morning and he fell down in the sink and seemed content to stay there.
We decided to go to the park one day to get out of the house and Cohen volunteered to hold the Gatorade.

Cohen's 1st Trip to the Zoo

At the beginning of March Spencer, Nikki, Kelan & Beckham came to see us. They live 6 hours away so we get to see them the most. We love it when they come! We had a couple of nice days and decided it would be fun to go to the zoo. St. Louis has an amazing zoo and the best part of it is that it is free.

The hippos come swim right by you it is pretty cool to watch. This was my favorite part of the zoo

Kelan and Cohen. Cohen loves his cousins.

Cohen's Half Birthday

Anyone who knows me well knows that I love Birthdays. My birthday is my favorite holiday and I believe it should be celebrated more than just once a year so in High School I started celebrating my half birthday and my poor little family has been drug into my love of birthdays and now they have to celebrate their birthdays twice a year!

I don't think he minds...

Daddy and Cohen just before he dug in.

We had a fun time celebrating his half birthday at Nana Mimi's and his first two bottom teeth broke through that day too. Other than the cake I think we got him some new binki's which Cohen is always excited about. Happy 1/2 birthday baby boy!
