We've been very lucky to have quite of few visitors already since we moved to Kansas City. Spencer and Nikki have come twice now and the first time they came they brought Josh and Dana. We had so much fun with them and love it when they come. They came Labor Day Weekend and we showed them around our new town. On Sunday we ducked out after Sacrament meeting and when to see some of the church sites. First we stopped at Liberty Jail. Below is a picture of the jail which has been reconstructed inside of a visitors center. They had a very neat presentation on it.
Next we headed over to see the RLDS temple and the Mormon Visitors Center that is right across the street.
Inside the mormon visitors center their is a table that has the Book of Mormon in all of its published languages.
Cohen and Beckham were best buds!
We kept trying to get a good picture of all the kids. I included a lot of them because they are pretty funny.
My personal favorite. Cohen and Beckham playing peek-a-boo and Kelan picking his nose.
They had an awesome play room downstairs for the kids and we just sat and let them play for almost an hour.
We then headed over to see the inside of the RLDS Temple.
The spiral sea shell roof from inside.
We then headed home and put kids down for nap and fixed dinner. After dinner we headed over to see our new temple! It is very exciting to be living in a town with a temple being built again. The open house is supposed to be sometime next spring so we expect lots of you to come visit for it.
All around the temple they have developed it for residential plots. We took the wagon and walked around the block and to see the new chapel that it right by the temple.
We love, love, love having visitors and getting a chance to see more of our current home town.
